Life is Good

Yeah, life is good. But, let me clarify this point: the way you see your life is up to you. Life is good is a popular t-shirt brand at colleges in the USA. Ok, now they are making much more than t-shirts, but their motto remains the same: Spreading optimism nationwide. And I made their words mine’s with a little balance: Do what you like, like what you do.

I’m saying that just because I like what I'm doing and consequently, I’m feeling very happy. I want to share with you some images of one of the most intense weeks in my recent lifetime. Not only because it's about what I’m doing in my life, but it’s also about creating a better world through understanding and tolerance among peoples. The images below are from a weeklong training for AFS volunteers and staff from 7 different countries held in Canela, RS, from 14th to 20th Nov. These volunteer and staff members, will make it possible for AFS to provide quality training to a much wider audience of volunteers and staff locally, regionally, nationally and mainly internationally, acting as trainers on my next training events on a more consistent basis. And they also had the opportunity to be exposed to an international environment and thank to that, strength their intercultural skills.

Intense because the agenda was a typical Lucas’ agenda: workaholic.

Intense because I had to work from 7am to 2am (next day) with no breaks.

Intense because I made some people work from 7am to 2am (next day) with no breaks.

Intense because the all time great discussions of what AFS is about.

Intense because intense also means powerful, concentrate, forceful, passionate, extreme, strong, like an AFS experience.

So, take my advice: life is good. Do what you like. Like what you do.
